FEMI ONE SPEAKS ON BEEF WITH AZZIAD AND MAKING HER FIRST MILLION

Kenyan rapper Femi One has for the first time addressed her beef with TikTok sensation and radio presenter Azziad Nasenya. 

It all started when Azziad danced to Femi One’s hit song Utawezana that went viral sparking beef between the two lovelies. A section of the radio presenter’s fans attributed the success of the song to her, while on the other hand, the rapper’s fans claimed that the song made Azziad famous. 

Speaking during a recent interview, the rapper affirmed that the song was already a hit even before Azziad did a challenge. “To be honest, I started that challenge and anyone participated in it, whether on the first or last day, all are very important to me. They helped build the song and the fans were free to choose who they liked the most, and they chose Azziad. To say she is the one who made the song big is a lie as she did her challenge the fourth day after the song was already a hit,” argued Femi. 

Femi added that she was later trolled for not giving Azziad credits, despite reaching out to her. The rapper noted that if the Azziad had told people she reached out to her, she would have been spared from the trolling. “I started the challenge and it was up to fans to decide who was their favourite. People felt like I did not deserve that success. They felt like Mejja deserved the success while I was not. They judged me wrongly as a woman they felt I had been ‘helped’,” she said. 

Femi also said that she made her first million after releasing her hit song, Tippy Toe, adding that she used most of the money to support her siblings despite being the last born.

“I made my first million after releasing Tippy Toe, I was staying at my mum’s place so I did not have bills to pay and  I saved a lot of money. I had an option of moving out but I didn’t and instead I supported my siblings,” she added.
