‘HE WOULD COME HOME DRUNK AND ABUSE ME’ NANA OWITI ON DATING ABUSIVE EX-BOYFRIEND

Chatspot host Nana Owiti took time on her show on Switch TV to recount the abuse she endured at the hands of her former boyfriend. Owiti says after leaving a relationship that did not work, she started dating a man who was emotionally and physically abusing her.

“The first emotional and physical abusive relationship I was in happened when I had just left another relationship that was working a little bit but I didn’t like some things in that relationship.

I was very intentional on making it work, I was super naive, I was just being a good girl. He would come home drunk and abuse me, with time I learned to survive. When he insulted me I also insulted him, when he would want to physically abuse me, I would run to the kitchen and get a knife but I realised I might end up killing someone.

He would have external stresses and bring it to me and later he apologises and we reconcile, then it’s a new cycle again,” said the TV host.
