I BECAME A FATHER AT 21-TERENCE CREATIVE

By  |

Content creator Lawrence Mwangi, alias Terence Creative marked Father’s Day by celebrating her grandmother who raised him. Through a video published on his YouTube channel, the comic disclosed that her grandmother took the role of a dad and a mum following the death of his parents.

My grand mother, is my father and she has been my father since I was age nine because I didn’t get to see my dad. I actually can’t tell you how he looked like but at least I had seen my mum. By the time I was nine, both my parents had passed away,” said the comedian.

Terence also stated that it melts his heart when he comes home to her daughter, wishing that he experienced such moments in his childhood life. “Every time I come home and I see my daughter running to welcome me it gives me a very good feeling, I feel so nice and at times I wish I had such moments,” he added.

The comedian disclosed that he had his first kid at 21, just after completing his secondary school education. He also detailed his experience as a first time dad, saying he had no idea on where to start from.

What most of you don’t know, I became a father at the age of 21 immediately after Form Four. I was so excited and at the same time so scared because I had no idea on where to start from but so far I’ve become a good father as time goes because I didn’t know a lot of things about fatherhood,” said Terence.

He added, “I thank God because I’ve grown to be a good father because there are some things that I’ve learned as I grew up. There’s a lot of responsibilities and that’s why when I see the task that I have as a father I can only imagine what my grandma used to go through because she was the one playing the role of both parents in my life.”
