MUSICIAN SHAY DIVA COMES CLEAN ABOUT HER RELATIONSHIP WITH INDIAN TYCOON PANKAJ DODHIA

Gengetone musician Shay Diva has opened up about her relationship with late Kitale tycoon Pankaj Kumar Dodhia, alias PJ Kumar. This is after the musician was recently dragged to court for allegedly accessing the tycoon’s NTSA account and transferring ownership of a Toyota Prado V8 to herself without following due processes of succession. 

In a recent interview, Shay disclosed that she first met Kumar in 2015 but she was not keen on getting into a relationship with him. However, two years later, she bumped into Kumar in a casino in Nairobi, started talking and eventually ended up dating. “I was single. He told me his family is in the UK and had not come to Kenya for over 10 years, so he was lonely. I didn’t mind dating him. A week later, he invited me to Kitale. He paid for my flight and we went to a casino in Eldoret,” said Shay. 

A month into dating, Shay moved into Kumar’s Kitale home and over years she was gifted three mansions in Diani, Kitengela, and Eldoret. “He treated me like a queen. He always wanted to give me the best. He bought me three mansions in Diani, Elgon View estate in Eldoret and Kitengela where I stay when I’m in Nairobi. I’m also building my retirement home in Kitale. He knew I was a smart woman and I was taking good care of him,” she added. 

Kumar also bought her a Toyota Auris, in 2019 during Valentine’s Day. She received her second car, a Toyota Prado V8, in April after reportedly suffering a miscarriage. Last year in March he bought her two Mazda Demios to start her taxi business.

Her boyfriend, whom she said was diabetic took his final bow on April 22 while receiving treatment in Eldoret Hospital. “He was admitted at Eldoret Hospital with diabetes and high blood pressure complications. When I went to visit him in hospital he had withdrawal symptoms since the doctors had requested him to stop drinking. Unfortunately, on April 22 his house boy called me informing me he had rested,” she said.
