Socialite Riaper Faith has fired back at her haters while explaining why many people hate on her. Speaking in a a sit-down interview, the mother of one said people hate her because she is more successful than them.

Risper added that most people who hate her were involved in her life in one way or the other. “I have haters because  I have a beautiful heart and those people who hate me we were at the same place five years ago and they think maybe we would be at the same place right now but for me God blessed me because of my heart and I’m here where I am today,” she said.

She also discussed how she met her husband Brian, “One day I was just at home, I was going through my Instagram and I saw someone by the name brayo79 had texted me, ‘hey love, I’m coming to Nairobi in December and I’d want to buy you coffee’. I went through his profile and I’d see him standing next to his car and a beautiful house and I said I won’t let go of this chance,” she said.

The two got into frequent communication and met when Brian flew to Kenya from Atlanta for a family vacation. Risper invited him to her house in Kiambu where they shared a meal and he even spent the night, “He came in December 2014. I was supposed to go and do my final exam but I did not sit for the exam, I hired a Nissan Sunny and he told me where to pick him and when I saw him I said, ‘God, this is my husband’. I took him to my house and cooked for him but he later ordered food. He went home the following day after spending the night at my place,” explained Risper

Brian asked Risper to move from Kiambu to Nairobi’s Kilimani area, “He flew back to Atlanta and in March of 2015, he told me to move from where I was living to Kilimani, he said the road to my place was too dark and he wanted me to live uptown and he sent me money to move. I moved to Kilimani and he later told me that he had bought land in Kitusuru and he is coming back home to build. He was in the U.S. for 10 years, he had saved and he was coming back home to build. He told me he wanted to ship household items from abroad and he instructed me not to buy anything while moving to the new house and that’s when we moved in together,” she said.

On being featured on Nairobi Diaries, Risper disclosed that they were approached by the production company which wanted them to appear on the show as a couple. “Nairobi Diaries approached me and Brian. They paid us good money and we decided to join the show. But it got to a point we said it’s enough,” said Risper

She also explained why she does not post her son on social media, “Social media is a very bad place for kids because people are always judgemental. He will choose when he grows up whether he will want to be on social media or not. That’s our personal decision,” she said.
