DJ PIERRA FRUSTRATED WITH COUNTY GOVERNMENT AFTER HER MERU EVENT WAS CANCELLED AT THE LAST MINUTE
Popular deejay Pierra Makena expressed disappointment after her event in Meru was called off by county government officials.
In a social media post, the deejay said she had been given a go ahead to host the event Park N Chill but it was stopped by Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi. “Who else is frustrated by Kenya like me? Meru and my fans were ready. Even with all the regulations given they were ready to obey but make sure my home coming works, we got all approvals, we did everything right. Why would my own governor Kiraitu Murungi say we be stopped,” she posted.
In a separate post, Makena decried humiliation revealing that her stalled event was allowed to continue after she was thrown out together with her team. “My event was allowed to continue after I was thrown out with my sound. Authorities were sent to close my event. The only explanation they had was covid-19. I asked if they know that I curated my event to fit the new normal and they said they have been told not to allow me thats it. Since I have no powers and no freedom in my own county let alone in my country, I set down and left. Immediately I left, the police cars and trucks well known as mariamu followed and left,” she said.

Adding; “All I was getting was pictures of my event venue getting full. I changed my car and drove there, we parked and chilled, no one knew I was there. Mutahi Kagwe, how else do you want me to be part of the solution? Why are you doing this to me? I was told orders came from Kiraitu Murungi’s is that even true? I’m tired but now I need answers.” Makena started her event Park N Chill a few months after covid-19 struck and adversely affecting the entertainment industry.
