LILIAN MULI TALKS DATING CHALLENGES AND HOW SHE MET EX-HUSBAND MOSES KANENE

Media personality Lilian Muli has disclosed her relationship status. The mother of two stated that she is currently into someone but did not divulge more information. “I’m a lover, I love love, I believe in love, I believe in relationships. I don’t believe in not being with someone in your life I’m such a lover and I’m so into someone right now,” Lilian said. 

She also detailed how her relationships changed after getting on TV and becoming famous, “Dating before I went to the screen was totally different and I’m one of those people who are always in longterm relationships, it was different because you would meet and like each other and you bond at a level of what you have in common but things changed after the fame,” she said. 

Adding; “Relationships change because the first interactions people have with you is on screen, ‘I like that person’ but you don’t know me and what I like so it might be physical because what more do you know about me after seeing me on TV.”

The news anchor also revealed how she met her ex-husband, Moses Kanene and later got into a relationship that eventually led to marriage. “I was straight out of a bulletin and then a friend of mine told me, ‘there’s this guy called Moses who has told me he wants your number and I told her please forget it. First forward, we went to Carnivore with a colleague for rock night and then the guy walks up to me and he tells me, ‘you babe, I asked your friend for your number, I saw you on the screen you’re very beautiful, I like you and I want to date you and in fact I am going to marry you,” she said. 

Lilian shared her experience with a partner who was using her fame for his own benefits. “There is a type of person you can date who will publicly display you out there because they know what they are getting out of it. I dated someone like that, I thought this person really liked being pictured in public places with me because he is really proud of me but eventually I found out that it was adding to his benefit for one or two reasons,” Lilian said.   

On dating mistakes, the Citizen TV news anchor said she talks too much about her previous experiences and trusts people too easily. “Dating mistakes I’ve made is talking too much about my previous experiences don’t forget that at the end of the day I’m on TV so I’m not just anybody else. Number two is trusting too much because it has left me in a lot of trouble and also a part from that, being overly available,” she said. 

She says she is attracted to tall and humorous men. “I like tall guys, a guy with a sense of humour and can make me really laugh, I like a guy who is spontaneous because I love road trips, consistency and a person who spends time with me,” she said.
