MUTHONI WA MUKIRI TALKS ABOUT TOXIC FRIENDSHIPS AND HOW SHE MET HER FIANCÉ ISAAC

Former Inooro TV news anchor Muthoni Wa Mukiri has opened up on how she met her fiance, Isaac. In a video published on her YouTube channel, she stated that she first met him at a corporate event where she had been invited by one of her friends. 

“A friend of mine invited me to a ‘chama’ party. I took my friend Teacher Wanjiku and we went to the party in the evening around 7pm. Isaac was seated under a shade, I could still see him but I didn’t think much of him. Eventually he came over and told me, ‘hey you have such a beautiful smile, I’ve been watching you from the far end’, and the rest is history,” she said. 

On why she chose Isaac, the media personality said most of her values aligned with his. “A lot of my values and his values aligned; I was brought up in church, he was brought up in church. A lot of what I believed about marriage is the same thing he believed.

He is also consistent and I was also looking for someone who is very consistent, I wanted a communicator and also the things I talk about here (YouTube) both emotional and mental wellness he really aligns with that. He is into leadership and very passionate about coaching. He is also compassionate, kind and those are things that I’m about and things that I love,” Mukiri said. 

Mukiri also spoke about being betrayed by friends, “I have been betrayed by friends because I’m an empath and I’m also very trusting. I’ve also come to learn that sometimes those friends were part of my life when I was toxic and so they were compatible with my unhealed version and now that I’m healed I’m better and I’m able to choose better friends. I moved on when their friendships crumbled,” she added. 

Talking about her worst fear, she said, “My worst fear is going to heaven and realise I did not do what God wanted me to do. My worst fear is not living according to my purpose, God has put each and every person in this earth to fulfil with a purpose. My worst fear is finding out I did things I was not supposed to do.”
