BABU OWINO MOURNS DJ EVOLVE’S MOTHER

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Thursday, September 23 mourned DJ Evolve’s mother, Mary Hongo. In a social media post, the lawmaker mourned the late Hongo as a mother and a friend whom were united in a difficult situation. 

“Mum you were a mother to me, and a friend. We were united through a difficult situation, we had grown so close but God has His own reasons why this had to happen. As a family we are deeply saddened by your loss. You are forever loved and treasured. We shall continue holding together and ensure your legacy lives on forever,” wrote the MP. 

Babu also penned a message to DJ Evolve, sympathising with him following his mother’s loss, “To my friend Felix and your family I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. May God grant you peace, strength and comfort to go through this difficult moment in your lives. 

Mum you always told us to be strong no matter how big the storm is and to always put God first. Rest In Peace Mum till we meet again,” he added. 

Babu has an ongoing court case for allegedly shooting DJ Evolve during a scuffle at the B-Club in Kilimani, Nairobi. It was reported that the DJ was shot twice in the neck by the lawmaker over an unknown fight. However, preliminary investigations indicated that the scuffle ensued after a joke gone bad. A CCTV footage obtained from the entertainment joint showed a man resembling Babu Owino taking out his gun and shot the DJ.
