By  |

Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has talked about his relationship with departed politician and fashion icon Orie Rogo Manduli. In a social media post, the rapper recalled receiving a call from the late politician after mentioning her name in his hit song, Hao featuring singer Masauti. In the song, Khaligraph hailed Manduli as a confident woman.

He said that they had planned to meet up for a chat after being released from the hospital but she unfortunately passed away. “About 2 months ago. I received a call from the late Orie Rogo Manduli and she told me how she loved the song Hao and we even planned to link up for a chat after she was discharged from hospital but it seems God had other plans, unfortunately she passed on today before our plan came to be, may she rest in peace. See you on the other side,” wrote Khaligraph.

Orie Rogo died at her Riverside home, Nairobi on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 73. According to her personal assistant Samuel Ndambuki, Manduli passed on as they prepared to go for a dental checkup. “We had gone for a checkup at Nairobi Hospital yesterday. This morning we visited her brother at Embakasi and she was very normal. We had a dental appointment this afternoon and as she was doing her makeup, I noticed she leaned on one side,” Ndambuki said.
