CHERYL AND STEPHANIE MURGOR RECALL THE NIGHT THEY WERE ATTACKED BY NDICHU TWINS
The two women who were reportedly attacked by Eddie and his twin brother, Paul Ndichu have come out to narrate the events that led to the nasty fight at Ole Sereni Hotel. In a press statement, the two ladies – Stephanie and Cheryl Murgor said they were attending a wedding at the hotel alongside two men Samuel and Patrick when the incident occurred.
The ladies said that the fight ensued after Paul made an advance on Stephanie who in turn told him off. “At about 2:30 am, one of the so-called ‘Ndichu Twin Brothers’ dressed in dark clothing made an improper pass at Stephanie, to which she responded; ‘Aren’t you the husband of Janet Mbugua?’. The lady who was with the twin brothers then shouted, ‘Ex-husband!
A little later, when Stephanie left the table heading towards the exit, one of the brothers verbally assaulted her, referring to her as a ‘b*tch’. Suddenly, the brother in dark clothes jumped onto Stephanie and started choking her by grabbing her by the throat. When her boyfriend attempted to rescue her, he was also grabbed by the throat,” the press statement read in part.
Stephanie and Samuel proceeded to the lift hoping to escape the confrontation but the twins followed and attacked them again. “At the ground floor, Stephanie and Samuel went to bring the car around while Cheryl and Patrick waited by the lobby. Suddenly, the twin brothers reappeared together with their lady friend and proceeded to attack Cheryl and Patrick after which both brothers proceeded to the front entrance where Stephanie and Sammy were waiting in the car,” the statement further read.
The ladies also disclosed that Eddie later agreed to pay Sh110,000 for the car they damaged but reversed the amount immediately they went back to the hotel. The victims now want Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to reassign the case to a special investigative team as they prepare to take the brothers to court.
“Kenyans must strongly condemn the normalisation of violence against women. GBV is a blatant abuse of human rights & this impunity threatens all of us. Let us speak up for our daughters, sisters, wives, nieces, grandmothers & the voiceless victims that GOK must protect. #EndGBV,” said their uncle Philip Murgor.
