DADDY OWEN DISCLOSES SAUTI SOL’S SAVARA WAS HIS DANCER

By  |

Gospel singer Daddy Owen talked about his relationship with Sauti Sol singer Savara Mudigi. The singer disclosed that Savara was his dancer and they worked together for many years before he became a musician.

He added that they parted ways when Savara asked to leave to focus on his music career. “Many don’t know that Savara of Sauti Sol was my dancer for many years and I vividly remember when he came to me with a guitar telling me now he wants to transition from a dancer to a singer and the rest is history,” disclosed Daddy Owen.

This came months after Savara opened up on the type of relationship Sauti Sol has as a group and the secret to its success. In an interview, Savara stated that most Kenyan musicians fail because they are not working together. “We as Sauti Sol have stuck together because we are more than brothers in the music industry, a thing other artistes lack,” he said.

He further said that artistes should look for a way to work with other artistes without looking at being signed to a record label. “Being signed is not everything, but if you can work on something you can work with the team even without being signed,” said Savara.
