LILIAN NG’ANG’A BLASTS SONKO FOR CLAIMING JULIANI’S LIFE IS IN DANGER

Former Machakos First Lady Lilian Ng’ang’a and her boyfriend rapper Juliani have issued statements following drama that ensued on social media after activist Boniface Mwangi shared photos of them. 

Through his social media pages, Mwangi posted photos of the couple hitting out at those hating on Ng’ang’a for ending her marriage and moving on with the rapper. “I’m here to offend those men who behave like their partners are personal assets.Assets are dead things,they have no feelings or emotions. Partners have flesh and blood, they can move on and you can do nothing about it. Money doesn’t make a man, manners do,” wrote the activist. 

The post sparked reactions from a section of social media users including former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko who claimed that sharing the photos was endangering the rapper’s life.  “Aki sipoa. Stop hurting Kavaluku, just move on in peace, you are now endangering the life of the msanii.”

Lilian issued a statement criticising the former county boss for making the remarks, adding that the photos were not shared with the intention of hurting anybody.  “My main concern from Governor Mike Sonko’s post is why he would think I am endangering Juliani’s life. The photos as shared yesterday by our friend Bonnie were not in any way meant to hurt anybody,” she wrote. 

Adding; “Would sentiments be the same if it was the man who was now dating someone else? I am 100% sure it would not. Society must be fair to women. Also, if you read this post and do not see the main issue that requires discourse, you are failing your sisters, your daughters, your women friends.” 

On the other hand, Juliani shared a photo with Ng’ang’a urging people to stop the debate on social media, further hinting at a wedding. “Family always comes first. Can’t wait for ‘I Juliani do swear that…’ phrase. Maybe soon, maybe sooner. Stop bickering,” wrote Juliani.
