RUTH MATETE’S DAD ACTOR ABEL AMUNGA SAYS HE WAS HEARTBROKEN AND DATING WOMEN IN THEIR 40s AND 50s IS HARD
58-year-old actor and voice over artist Abel Amunga talked about his personal life and whether he is looking forward to getting married once again. Speaking with Buzz Central’s Cheptoek Boyo, Amunga said he would want to settle down and find someone for companionship when the right time comes.
Amunga said he was badly heartbroken when his late baby mama eloped with another man and his wife left after five years in marriage “What I went through after my high school sweetheart got married and my wife left me, I promised my daughter I would not remarry and she will never have a step parent. When she was of age, I got into another relationship that I really suffered and heartbroken. Unfortunately, this becomes a trend when you have been heartbroken it becomes cycle and you need to go through deliverance but again fear comes in and it gets to a point where you say, ‘I think it’s time for me to settle down but who is this who will give me what I want’,” he said.
Abel revealed he feels bad that his father did not meet his wife, “My dad passed away last year and I feel so bad he did not meet my wife. That was his wish but I kept post postponing. I’m 58 years old now. At some point I would definitely need someone to settle down with, someone that I can sit down with and tell about my story and talk about my failures and success, just for companionship not necessarily having kids,” said Amunga.
The father of one also said dating women in their 40s and 50s is hard, “Age is a complication because somehow for the ladies, who match me should be in their 40s and 50s but bring me five ladies who are within that age group they’re too old for me. They call me ‘young man’ and dating a 40-year-old woman is hard. Life starts at 40, when a woman turns 40 it is challenging but it depends on individuals not all people are the same but I believe God’s store has a lot,” he added.
