TANASHA DONNA STARRING ON NETFLIX MOVIE AND SET TO RELEASE HER COLLABO WITH SHENSEEA

Kenyan songstress Tanasha Donna is starring in Nollywood film Symphony set to premiere on Netflix in March. Speaking about the project, the mother of one said she shot the project six months ago in Nigeria and she is set to star in another Nollywood series.  

“Another thing I’m super excited for this year is the movie that we filmed last year in Lagos, it’s called Symphony, it’s kinda like Empire but a movie for Africa, it’s a blockbuster movie and it’s gonna be on Netflix as well, it’s dropping at the end of March. It has big names like D’banj, Jackie Appia and Efa Iwara. I am actually playing the role of a girlfriend of a superstar and he basically has a habit of cheating, that of the typically artiste rockstar style and my role is a little bit dramatic where I am always catching him in his games and stuff like that. I’m gonna be a little bit of a drama queen in this movie which is unlike me. 

It was the first time ever shooting a movie and the directors were so shocked they were literally telling me, ‘Yo T are sure you have never done this before?’ And I was like I swear I have not and they were like, ‘this is really good’ they are planning to shoot a series for it and they want to fly me back to Lagos to shoot the series. That’s exciting, I didn’t know acting could be a thing.“

Donna also said she has a collaboration with Jamaican artiste Shenseea, “Shenseea is really killing it in the dancehall game, she is super hard working and she is actually a friend. She inspires me a lot and we actually have a song together and we have not dropped it yet.“
