AKOTHEE’S SISTER CEBBIE ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

Akothee’s sister Elseba Awuor Kokeyo alias Cebbie Koks Nyasego has narrated a harrowing ordeal in the hands of an armed robber on the night of April 12 at Chiromo, Nairobi.

Sharing her experience on Instagram, Cebbie stated that she was robbed of her phone at gunpoint when a cab she was in slowed down to avoid hitting a speed bump. “Oh! Shit! Robbed at gunpoint hapo Chiromo on that bump when the car slowed down and managed to escape with my phone,” she wrote. “Eeish! Idiots are too quick…aki ile nduru nimewachilia I think hao wasee wa hapo Chiromo wameamka.” She added.

Speaking to Standard Entertainment, she gave further details of the incident, disclosing that she also lost her purse in the robbery. “It had not hit me that I was being robbed because the door was gently opened, and before I knew it, someone had grabbed my purse. I tried to resist, but the guy placed something metallic on my chest. I had to let go of my phone and purse.”

Cebbie is not the only celebrity who has been robbed at gunpoint in ‘Kanairo.’ Barely a year ago, lifestyle content creator Joy Kendilost her house keys and phone to unknown men while she was on a weekend jog in Westlands. “I was robbed at gunpoint by two guys on a bike. So if you are going on walks or anything like that, please be safe. Do not go on your own, do not carry anything expensive. I did not lose much,” Kendi said.
