ALI KIBA WRITES TOUCHING LOVE NOTE TO WIFE AMINA ON HER BIRTHDAY

Bongo Flava artiste Ali Kiba has celebrated his wife Amina Khalef as she turns a year older. Taking to Instagram, Kiba wrote a sweet message wishing the mother of his two sons – Keyaan and Kamran – a lovely birthday: “Happy birthday to my lovely wife.” Kiba’s post read.

This comes amid speculations that Kiba’s marriage is on rocks, and the couple was on the verge of breaking up after Amina took to Mombasa Kadhi’s Court in February 2022 to file a divorce. Accusing her husband for cheating and verbal abuse, which began just six months after their marriage.

“The respondent [Kiba] has made a mockery of their marriage by disrespectfully engaging in public displays of infidelity with various women in total disregard of the petitioner’s feelings,” reads the suit papers filed by Amina.

She accused the singer of being a deadbeat father who had failed terribly in his duties of providing food and other basic needs for the family. For this reason, she demanded Sh200,000 monthly upkeep from Kiba to cover medical expenses and other needs while confessing that their marriage was broken beyond hope and their connection was irredeemable. “The marriage is irreversibly severely broken with no chance of being salvaged.” 

Kadhi ordered the Utu crooner to respond to the divorce suit before the lapse of 15 days after its filing. However, Amina reportedly dropped the court case before the judgment was delivered. The latest gesture by Kiba signals that the two lovebirds, who tied the knot in 2018 at a nikkah in Masjid Ummu-Kulthum mosque in Kizingo, Mombasa, have reconciled and are now enjoying their marital bliss.
