EVELYN WANJIRU AND HUBBY WELCOME A BABY BOY

It’s a boy! Celebrated gospel musician Evelyn Wanjiru and her husband Agundabweni Akweyu welcomed a son on April 6, 2022.

Wanjiru took to Instagram to announce the name of the new baby boy – Mshindi Agundabweni Akweyu – whose arrival makes the couple a family of three as he is their first son after she struggled to conceive unsuccessfully for ten years.

“On April 6th, 2022, God gave us a gift of a baby boy!! This is a testimony my husband and I have been waiting on God for the last 10 years. Welcome to the world, baby Mshindi Akweyu Agundabweni. Your entire family is so in love with you! We are excited to see you grow and become that great person God intended you to be! You are a dream come true, an answered prayer, and the greatest gift from God!” She wrote.

The Asante crooner thanked God for gifting her a partner who stood by her when people criticised her because she had not been blessed with a baby despite being in marriage for a decade. “Agundabweni Akweyu, I thank God for you my husband, you are a rear gem and a true God-given gift! I love you! Am excited and ready to raise him together with you!“

This announcement comes almost a week after Wanjiru announced, on April 12, that she was pregnant. It is now clear that the duo had kept the whole affair confidential, and she showed off her baby bump six days after Mshindi’s birthday.

Wanjiru had shared a cute photo that captured Agundabweni lovingly touching her baby bump and accompanied it with a lengthy post expressing gratitude, “Today, my heart is full of joy and gratitude. As I write this, my eyes are full of tears. I have been waiting for this season for 10 years in my marriage. A blessed womb, God has fulfilled His promise in our lives.” Read her post.
