SARAH KABU ON HOW SIMON DRAMATICALLY PROPOSED TO HER

Businesswoman Sarah Kabu has disclosed how her ex-husband Simon proposed to her. Speaking in an interview, Sarah said Simon’s proposal almost never happened, “Simon’s engagement proposal idea failed. He had organised a valentine’s weekend at Amboseli. His plan was to engage me at the top of the Observatory Hill in Amboseli. So he woke me up for the morning game drive, but I had cramps.

 I refused, and he begged me and even knelt. I didn’t know that he wanted to propose. So when I refused completely, and it was our last day there, he proposed at the gate when we were leaving, and I was looking shaggy. We didn’t take any good photos, and up to now, I don’t have photos of the proposal.”

Sarah also stated that she met Simon through a Google group in which they were the most active members and were selected to plan a trip for the other group members together. “It was not planned. It was a coincidence. We were in a Google group for job seekers and people discussing politics. I used to contribute so well in the posts, and Simon used to contribute as well. 

We were chosen to organise a retreat, and they selected me to spearhead, and then of course, among the people was Simon, who gave me a lot of assistance. We did the first trip, and it was very successful. The group had 10,000 members, so on the first trip, we went to Kenya Getaway with around 100 members, and those who missed felt very bad, and they requested we organise a similar one,” she said.
