MUSICIAN KAYMO AND WIFE RAYCH GITAU REVEAL THEY GO FOR THERAPY

By  |

Kenyan gospel star Kaymo Thitima and his wife, content creator Raych Gitau are the latest celebrities to shine a light on what it’s really like to deal with mental health issues in the spotlight, especially in marriage.

In an Instagram post, the Thitima hitmaker talked about battling depression with his significant other to a point of visiting a therapist who has since been guiding them through mental health matters and ultimately bringing it under control.

Life is short, and so is my wife. Anyone willing to adopt me today? No, seriously, Let’s talk about mental health: my wife and I have been seeing a therapist for a while now, and I can tell you, for sure, it is the best decision a married couple or even a single person can ever make,” he wrote.

In a bid to tame depression and suicide ideation, Kymo urged his fans to consider visiting therapists as it is better for ideal mental health. He says they decided to share their story to champion a new focus on combating mental health issues through timely initiatives.

Did you know therapy is recommended at least thrice in 1 year just to make sure your mental health is taken care of? We never thought it was important for us to share our journey with you guys(we thought it was too private), but I think we are ready to advocate for #mentalhealthawareness.” He added.
