IGIZA ACTOR KEVIN SAMUEL TALKS RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUNGER SISTER JANET MBUGUA

Igiza actor Kevin Samuel has told Buzz Central he doesn’t mind being referred to as Janet Mbugua’s brother. 

Speaking in an interview, he said when they were small, people used to call her Kevin Mbugua’s sister, “I love it because here’s the funny thing, at some point when she was just starting out on KTN, she used to be Kevin Mbugua’s sister. She used to tell me when she was younger, people don’t call me Janet. People call me your sister. I just think how interesting it is now. To get to be her older brother is fantastic.

I think back to the times when we were young and the conversations that we had and how it informed her personality. I can see it and everybody is seeing it on screen and appreciating that. For me, it’s great. I’m very happy, I feel I should get a t-shirt that says Janet Mbugua’s brother.“

Samuel who was one of Tusker Project Fame judges, also said he knew Ruth Matete was going to win after she auditioned, “The TPF judging was so hard. We auditioned about 400 people, and we had to choose five. Saying no that many times was awful. It’s a very strange position to be in because you end up being a gatekeeper and luckily the person who won that season, she auditioned with us and I remember turning to my co-judge. I was like, this one’s taking it. Ruth Matete came in and sang and I was just like, she’s taking it, I wasn’t surprised when she won.”
