INSIDE DOREA CHEGE’S 7-BEDROOM MANSION IN JUJA

Content creator Dorea Chege has opened up about constructing her 7-bedroom mansion in Juja.

Speaking in an interview with Buzz Central, she disclosed her plans to build started in March this year after her mother challenged her to buy property, “Early this year my mom gave me the idea in the form of a challenge. I had saved some money and I felt like it was peanuts. She took me to meet with the owners of the land and I realised I could pay the full amount, I paid immediately. I didn’t plan to build this year, I just wanted to buy the land and forget about it.”

Dorea took her friend to see the piece of land and she found her neighbours had started building which gave her pressure to develop hers, “I went back to where I bought the land and my neighbours had started building. They know me so I was afraid they would say celebrities don’t have money. Mum agreed to show me the way and we started slowly to lay the foundation that is when I realised it is so expensive.”

Chege has spent over 3.7 million to build her three storey maisonette, “Mom told me not to rush and take one step at a time, the thing is I don’t give up. The mansion has seven bedrooms and it is almost finished. It’s on the 3^rd floor now. So far I have spent over 3.7 million, I am planning to move in by December.”

The content creator says building her home has made her more patient, “I’ve grown mentally, and I’ve become more confident and more patient with people because builders can lie. It has also been a learning experience. I now know the value of money.”
