‘I AM NOT DEAD’ SAYS VIOJA MAHAKAMANI PROSECUTOR DAVID ALLIWAH
Actor David Alliwah has disputed claims by a section of media and social media users that he is dead. Taking to his Facebook page, the Theatrix Arts Ensemble founder said he lost one of his actors in a grisly road accident that occurred on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 4 am on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
“I kindly request Nairobi News and team and any other outlet or persons to avoid this unfortunate reporting and representation of what happened to my team Theatrix Arts Ensemble. True I’m at my lowest having lost a member of my team and praying for the rest who escaped with injuries. Using my photo in such headings is politely low. I got respect for the years you’ve supported me but this is unfortunate. I am alive and was not injured and I was not in the said accident but was in a different vehicle that was 40 minutes behind before I got the news.”
Actor Dennis Mwandoe lost his life while other team members of the ensemble escaped with minor injuries. “This was one of the darkest moments in my time as a leader and my group Theatrix Arts Ensemble yesterday morning at around 4.30am in Karai near Naivasha as we were heading to Nakuru. The matatu we boarded was hit from behind by this trailer. We unfortunately lost one of our members as the others escaped with minor injuries.”
Another actor Faith Nduku is currently admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital. “The doctors attending to them gave us reports after X-rays were done and told us that they were out of danger but one Faith Nduku Muteti was not stable. I accompanied Faith to Kenyatta National Hospital in an ambulance. Faith was admitted on Saturday and she is stable and out of danger. To support Dennis, you can send your contributions to Mpesa 0716600068.”
