KAGWE MUNGAI FEATURES ANNESTELLA, MAMMITO & NICK MUTUMA IN HIS LATEST SINGLE GHOSTIKA

Multi-talented singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur Kagwe Mungai has come through with his second single of 2022 “Ghostika,” the much anticipated follow up to Safi Safi, released earlier on in the year.

Furthering his genre-bending and creative dexterity agenda in this single, Kagwe plays both artist and producer. He leans back to his signature afro-pop sound that his day-one fans revere him for. The visual direction for the fun carpool-karaoke inspired video was directed by the cinematic guru KG Brian. The video features various notable guests including Annestella, Mammito, Brian Kagiri aka Dapper Brother, Shiksha Arora, Nick Mutuma, Pascal Tokodi, Manasseh Nyaga and H_art the Band trio and Bobby Jr from East Meets West.

The song addresses ‘Ghosting’ a recurrent theme that many people can identify with at various points in the lives. Ghosting typically happens when you are in the talking stages of either a relationship, a job interview or any situation that applies and then the other party cuts off all form of communication without any explanation.

In this upbeat, feel-good record, Kagwe confronts ghosting from a positive angle, and encourages the listener, to grace the experience with ‘main character energy’ because tough times never last, only tough people. He sings through the vulnerability of the experience in a humorous yet relatable way and tops it all off with a captivating beat that is guaranteed to get people off their feet.
