SINGER KENDI’S MUM SUCCUMBS TO CANCER A YEAR AFTER HER DAD’S DEATH

Kenyan singer and songwriter Kendi is mourning the death of her mother. Through her social media page, she shared a photo of her late mum and wrote, “F**k Cancer. Cancer even you one day you will die.”

Kendi added that she was responding well to treatment and hence she doesn’t understand why she suddenly died, “I was with you 3 weeks ago surely…You were doing well and you were responding well to chemo mpaka sahii ata sijui what happened.”

The musician added it’s a difficult time because her death happened after they held their dad’s, “RIP mum. Yesterday and even now have been one of the most painful days in my Life. Haki mum just the other day on 4th of August we celebrated Dad’s one year memorial and you organised everything and it went well little did we know you were to follow him so quickly.”  Stating that she will miss her mother, “I was just not ready for this. I miss you mummy and you will always be in my heart. Say hi to Dad. May God Rest both your souls till we meet again.”

The Don’t Rush hitmaker lost her dad last year to esophageal cancer, “Hi fam, as you know from my previous post I lost my mum on Monday and we had some hospital expenses and everything has been so unexpected and quick. Cancer has proven to be an expensive disease and my family and I have gone through this for some years with my dad whom we lost to esophageal cancer last year August 4th 2021 and now my mum to stage 2 liver cancer on 28th August 2022.
