Media personality Betty Kyallo has applauded socialite Vera Sidika for being brave enough to share her experience and the outcome of her reconstructive surgery.

She showered her with praises and encouraged her to continue living her truth, “I love brave women. @queenveebosset you deserve to live your truth. You deserve a healthy life and a joyful one for that matter. I am clapping for you for being that courageous. Keep smiling,” she wrote.

The mother of one also advised young girls not to bow down to pressure from people about how they look, “Our young girls must know that it’s not about people’s perception of us. How we look, dress, how thick or thin we are, whether light skin or darker. They should know never to give power to strangers over how they should feel about themselves.”

Sidika opened up on her reconstructive surgery experience on her Instagram, reversing a body enhancement surgery she underwent years ago claiming it had brought her health risks and complications, “The rebirth: This has been the hardest phase of my life. Due to health risks and complications, I had to undergo surgery. It’s still very unbelievable but I’ve come to love myself regardless. I’m lucky to be alive, God loves me so much.”

Adding that she didn’t even celebrate her birthday this year due to the complications, “Honestly, it’s been pretty hard. I didn’t even celebrate my birthday this year but here we are. Happy Birthday to me. I’ve come to appreciate life and never take things for granted. Thanks to my family, especially my husband for being there for me,” she wrote.
