‘MY INTENTION WAS NEVER TO HURT’ BEN POL APOLOGISES TO ANERLISA MUIGAI

Tanzanian singer Ben Pol has apologised to his ex-wife Anerlisa Muigai. Taking to his social media pages, Ben Pol said he did not intend to hurt Anerlisa.

“I want to apologise for the things I said about my marriage during my series of interviews with Millard Ayo, which started broadcasting on the 13th of January, 2023. My intention was never to hurt but to share my experience of marriage, an experience I take full responsibility for. However, I recognise that my words were hurtful to my ex-wife and I apologise to her and to the public. While I do want to continue to talk about mental health and speak about my experiences, I will strive to do so in a way that is more mindful and more constructive,” he said.

On Friday, Ben Pol told Millard Ayo that their marriage was purely about aesthetics, “If I am to be honest with you, if you removed the Instagram posts we used to put up about our marriage, there is nothing really good that I enjoyed or experienced about marriage like I see of other couples. For us, our marriage was pure aesthetics. It was all about taking pictures and writing colorful captions and nothing much. I don’t mean to demean anyone but in my opinion, I feel like I got into a situation to complete someone’s idea of being perfect,” said Ben Pol.

Hours later, Anerlisa issued a stern warning to her ex-husband, “Ben, I see that umenizoea, and you’ve taken my silence for weakness. You’ve always had the right to tell the interviewer not to ask about me…why are you always making me look bad, yet undercover, you send me messages different from what you talk? If you really are a man, I dare you to screenshot what you’ve been sending me since December 25, 2022 to January 4, 2023! I have a lot to say about/show you, but I choose to be a lady. It’s simple! Stop talking about me!” said Anerlisa Muigai.
