ACTOR LENANA KARIBA AND WIFE EXPECTING FIRST CHILD

Celebrated actor Lenana Kariba and his wife, Helen, announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple, who shared the good news with their fans on Instagram, posted  a series of photos from their baby bump shoot.

“And then there were three. We are so excited to be growing our family in 2023.There is no one I would rather take this journey with – my queen is my everything and now our little mini me will be the centre of our world,” said Kariba.

In September 2021, the popular actor tied the knot with mzungu bae in the Caribbean islands of Antigua just nine months after he revealed that they were engaged. Kariba made the announcement on his Instagram account, “11.08.21 ❤️ Forever #mrandmrs #destinationwedding #antigua“

Speaking in an exclusive Interview with Buzz Central, the Single Kiasi actor opened up about his marriage for the first time. “I met my wife here in Kenya, her circle of friends are the same as mine which is surprising. We met at one of my friend’s birthday party, I have known the guy for about seven and apparently so has she but we never met until that time. From the onset I knew this might be something because of how we clicked and it didn’t feel like I was chatting her up, we were just talking and the way we interacted it just worked.”

On why they decided to do a destination wedding Kariba said his wife wanted a beach wedding, “After I proposed to her and we talked about the wedding she told me she wanted a beach wedding. In fact she wanted to get married in Diani but there was a lockdown and we were in the UK, we got tired of waiting and just wanted to have that moment. When we looked up for where to do it because in the UK we couldn’t do it, a few places came up, Antigua was one of them and decided to go for a holiday and while we were there we decided to get married. We are going to have a second wedding here.”

Talking about marriage life he said, “What has surprised me the most after getting married is that nothing has changed. After we announced the wedding we got a few comments from people, ‘why would he go and choose a white girl and we are here’ apart from that it has been fine. I think for the last 10 years it has become such a normal thing for people to marry outside their race.”
