‘FEELING IMPROVEMENT IN MY MENTAL HEALTH’ FOI WAMBUI ON WHY SHE QUIT DRINKING

Content creator and actress  Foi Wambui has shared how abstaining from alcohol has changed her life.

While updating her fans on social media, she said she is on a journey to implement positive habits. “Last year, I started feeling a push to make intentional steps into being a better version of myself, and with that, I gradually started being consistent with things like fitness, eating better, therapy, etc. I believe it’s a mixture of reading the book “Atomic Habits” by @jamesclear and feeling that the next phase of my life requires me to start improving in certain areas.

This year, I’m more intentional about it. I love challenges, so I’ve made this into a 21/90 challenge where I’ll be using the 21/90 rule to implement positive habits and get rid of negative habits. They say that implementing something for 21 days makes/ breaks the habit, and doing it for 90 days makes it a lifestyle change. So that’s exactly what I’m doing every month. Let’s see how effective this rule is, and if James Clear knows what he’s talking about in Atomic Habits. I’ll share all the good and difficult parts of the different challenges, and you are welcome to join me at any point.”

Foi revealed being alcohol free for a month she has been able to save money, “In January, I was on a mission to be completely alcohol-free, and I have felt so many changes since then. Waking up every morning without a hangover, feeling an improvement in my mental health and saving some money has been fantastic. I’m still completely alcohol-free till 90 days elapse, then maybe I’ll have some little exceptions. 

We must still live this life!! Responsibly and consciously. For February, my main focus is my morning routine. I can’t wait to see who I’ll be at the end of it all. #Foi2190challenge #atomichabits #betterversionproject.
