NAJMA ISMAIL LANDS A JOB AT STATE HOUSE
Former KTN anchor, Najma Ismail has landed a new role in State House just two weeks after her appointment as a Tourism Regulatory board member was revoked.
Najma confirmed that she was assigned a role in the Office of State House Spokesperson, under Hussein Mohamed. “Bismillah, to new beginnings. Alhamdulilah.“
On March 8, the media personality left Standard Media Group’s KTN after 9 years with the station. She broke the news to her fans on Twitter, “Happy #InternationalWomenDay It has been an incredible honour and pleasure working at Kenya’s leading multi-media house @StandardKenya from a reporter 9 years ago to achieving several firsts.”
She also reminisced about the good times, “The first Hijabi English News-anchor then coming up with the first ever Islamic publication by mainstream media Ramadhan special and finally to becoming the first Head of the newly formed Gender desk, I have grown tremendously and I am forever grateful. However, the time has come for me to say Kwaheri. To new endeavours and opportunities Insha Allah.”
