TV ANCHOR KEN MIJUNGU REVEALS WHY HE WAS NEVER ADMITTED TO THE BAR

By  |

KTN TV presenter Ken Mijungu has opened up about his struggles in life.

Speaking on Late Night Business, Mijungu said he had to drop out of law school because he could not afford to pay school fees, “I was admitted to study education at the University of Nairobi, but I wanted to do law, I tried to change to law but they wanted a higher score so I ended up applying to Moi University where I did law. My dad fell sick in 2006 when I was in third year.

My mum was strained because she was just a high school principal. I had two siblings in the UK, a step sibling after me and twins. She was straining to take care of my dad’s medical bills, her needs and my siblings.

After University I came to Nairobi and went to Kenyan School of Law and started classes, I was looking for somewhere to do my pupillage but I couldn’t find and I couldn’t go back and ask my mum for money to pay the school fees. I am glad that from that day I have never asked her for a cent.”

The presenter decided to become a taxi driver shortly after, “When I was looking for something to do I ended up being a taxi driver,” he added.
