SAUTI SOL ANNOUNCE WORLD TOUR BEFORE TAKING AN INDEFINITE BREAK
Kenyan band, Sauti Sol has announced that they will be taking an indefinite break from working as a group.
In a statement on Saturday, May 20, the band announced their last tour across Europe and America. “We will embark on an exhilarating tour stopping in five cities across the U.S followed by 10 stops in Europe and four in Canada before taking an indefinite hiatus. This tour is a celebration of their remarkable journey, filled with excitement for the future, and a testament to the enduring bond of friendship and partnership built over 20 year in the industry.”
“The upcoming tour across the US, Europe and Canada is a chance for fans to immerse themselves in the magic of Sauti Sol one last time before the band takes a break from group projects for a while. Each performance will be infused with a sense of deep love and gratitude as the ensemble delivers their timeless hits and fan favourites that have left an indelible mark on our collective memories,” they said.
The band insisted they will remain friends as they embark on their personal projects, “While the indefinite hiatus marks the end of a specific chapter, it also represents a new beginning for Sauti Sol. As close friends and business partners, the band members, Bien Baraza, Willis Chimano, Polycarp Otieno and Savara Mudigi are eager to explore fresh creative avenues and embark on personal endeavours.”
The band also thanked their fans for their support all through the years, “We are filled with gratitude for the love and support we have received throughout the years. While we take this hiatus to pursue our individual and collective passions, we remain committed to our friendship and our shared businesses. The bond between us is unbreakable and we are excited for what the future holds.”
