BAMZIGI ANNOUNCES GRAND MUSICAL COMEBACK AFTER BATTLE WITH DRUG ADDICTION
Veteran musician Bamzigi has announced his musical comeback. In a statement released online, Bamzigi said he is putting a team together to work on the project, “I’ve never had so much syke to get back on the mic, I’m trying to put together a team (which I have) but specifically a team of producers who I don’t need to tell what to do much.
I just tell them the direction I wanna take and I sit back and let them do their thing. But there are very few people who would get my vision and I don’t wanna do it alone for fear of monotony but if I have to do so I will. Currently the studio is up. I’ve gotten most of my plugins, VST’s, samples. All ready! I just need to get through my healing process and we are a go.”
Bamzigi also called out naysayers for claiming he is a washed up artiste, “I fear others have fear and are already whispering in their ears that I got no chance, well I love being the underdog so let’s go. For all ya’ll producers I’m talking about (you know who you are don’t wanna mention names) But by the way I had to drop one from the list all he thinks is about the money which is key I agree, but with this project the music, expression, raising the bar comes first.)
Honestly last time I felt this hungry for da mic is when @nazizihirji took me to audition for @teddjosiah for the group, the rest was as they say history. Da ideas flowing through this biological computer of mine called a brain are beyond insane.”
In June 2014, he opened up about his battle with drug addiction, “Let’s just say that I got influenced from the crowd I was hanging out with. I’ve always loved house music which wasn’t so popular at the time so I used to go to select clubs in Karen which was full of white guys and it started from there,” he said. Adding, “I believe drug abuse is as a result of idleness. That’s why I help young people to join social media networks to make money.”
