‘THERE IS NO BAD BLOOD’ MWENDE MACHARIA ON AZZIAD NASENYA’S WALKOUT

Radio Maisha presenter Mwende Macharia has said there is no bad blood between her and Azziad Nasenya.

The content creator walked out of a radio interview when Mwende asked her a question about the Talanta Hela Council, saying they had agreed not to talk about it.

“We agreed not to talk about it. No comment. Mwende tukishaongea na tuagree I will honestly walk out of here. Because we cannot agree on something then you go back on it. You do not respect me as a brand and I cannot appreciate that dear. Thank you,” she said.

Addressing the matter Mwende said it was not the first time a guest had walked out on her, “That’s what we call occupational hazards in journalism. They happen from time to time so it is not the first time. I became friends with an artiste who walked out of our studio the other time. There is no bad blood with Azziad. She is a young woman and maybe the question rubbed her the wrong way but I was just doing my job as a journalist,” she said.

This comes a week after Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba revoked the appointments of Azziad, Akothee, Wahu, Carol Radull, Daniel Ndambuki and Dennis Itumbi and others in the Talanta Hela Council and Technical committees through a Gazette notice.
