VIVIAN ON WHY SHE DIDN’T HAVE CHILDREN WITH SAM WEST

Musician Vivian has opened up about her divorce from husband Sam West.

Speaking to Lynne Ngugi, the musician said they had agreed not to have kids, “The decision not to have a child was joint, because he had a child from a previous relationship and so did I. We were to find ways to integrate our children before we could have one but that didn’t materialise. There was no malice, it’s something we agreed on.”

The mother of one stated introducing Sam to her daughter was not easy, “It was not easy for me to introduce my child to him, I felt like I needed to figure out some things. I didn’t know how to do it and I felt like I needed to first work on myself.”

She also said they tried to work things out but Sam decided to leave the marriage, “Our relationship had its ups and downs and we really wanted the marriage to work. Even on the days we had tough times we tried to get help. Already the dynamics of the relationship were hard, I had a child, he had one and then add the public, it becomes like the reality show Saviour. You are trying to balance things that you are not internally equipped with.”
