SONKO’S DAUGHTER SAUMU APPOINTED MACHAKOS STATE CHAIR
Mike Sonko’s daughter Saumu Mbuvi has been appointed as the Machakos State Chair in the Anti-Gender Based Violence wing.
Saumu shared the good news on social media, “I am thrilled and deeply honoured to have been nominated and appointed as the Machakos State Chair in Kenya for the Anti-Gender Based Violence wing under the auspices of the all ladies league. As the founder of the empowering initiative called “Pamoja We Can,” I am dedicated to creating programs that address mental health, empowerment, and mentoring, incorporating the principles of positive psychology.”
Saumu vowed to support and uplift women, “I am a survivor of gender-based violence that fuels my determination to support and uplift women who find themselves in similar situations. Through the impactful work of the Pamoja We Can initiative, I aim to provide resources and guidance to help women overcome the challenges they face.”
She added, “With great enthusiasm, I eagerly look forward to collaborating with fellow members in a spirit of sisterhood to make a lasting impact on mental health support and awareness, not only within Kenya but also on a global scale. Being appointed as the Machakos State Chair signifies a remarkable opportunity to advocate for change and bring about a ripple effect of positive transformation. For God and for our People.”
