ACTOR ARABRON OSANYA ON WHY HE TURNS DOWN BEDROOM SCENES AND GAY ROLES
Celebrated Mother in Law actor Arabron Osanya sat down with Buzz Central and shared the reason why he turns down bedroom scenes and gay roles.
Speaking to Cheptoek Boyo, Arabron said he avoids doing bedroom scenes because he wants peace at home, “Personally I have my own boundaries, as a result of how having a wife I avoid bedroom scenes I don’t want to be hit by flying sufurias when I enter the house because she saw an episode, you know, things like that.”
The faithless actor further stated he does not understand gays characters, “I would not act a gay character, not because I have any issue or have anything against someone who is gay. I believe everybody has their opinion and can do whatever they want to do. I’m not afraid of touching another man. I’m not homophobic. I know who I am. I believe in myself, I know what I stand for and nothing’s going to change that.“
Adding, “The reason why I would not play a gay character is because I don’t understand it. I have to understand what I’m acting to make it real. Because I don’t understand what being homosexual or gay is and what inspires it. Where does it start? What is its source? What’s the inspiration? How then am I going to portray it? Because then I’ll end up portraying idiosyncrasies that I don’t understand. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to understand it one day, but there are a number of people even in Hollywood who have acted gay characters, and convinced people they are even though they are not.”
