ANITA NDERU FONDLY RECOUNTS HOW SHE MET HER HUSBAND BARRETT RAFTERY

In a candid and heartwarming revelation, radio personality Anita Nderu opened up about how she met the love of her life, Barrett Raftery. 

In an interview, Nderu recounted the series of events that led to their fateful meeting. According to her husband, a mutual friend introduced them, “I met Anita through a mutual friend. My friend of 15 years got married to one of Anita’s best friends. Then we were both going through break ups at the same time. I was complaining to the husband about my break up and she complained to the wife. They were like, you know, we’re happily married. So you too can complain to each other,” Barrett said.

Anita says she was attracted to his intelligence, “He’s warm, kind, intelligent. He is such a sweetheart, very caring and charismatic. I felt safe and at peace. You know when you’re around someone and time doesn’t exist. We could be doing absolutely nothing and I’d be having the best time.”

The couple dated for a year and decided to get married, “He was always very clear about his attentions, and then I got to meet his family and they are phenomenal. They are just incredible. They felt like family right away. My dad had never met any other man before him and his rule was never bring a man to me unless he is the one. I took Barrett and that was the scariest day of my life. Dad was very happy and accepting and to me it was a vote of confidence. He proposed, we got married and shortly after we realised we were expecting.”
