ACTRESS MAUREEN KOECH DISCLOSES SHE DROPPED OUT OF UNIVERSITY
Actress Maureen Koech sat down with Buzz Central and opened up about dropping out of university.
Speaking in an interview with Cheptoek Boyo, Koech said her mother could not afford to pay University fees, “When I was in Strathmore University just after second year, my mother was not able to pay my school fees. The fees were really high that time for her. I was very devastated, imagine seeing your college mates moving and you are left behind.”
She added, “The funny thing is even pursuing a Bachelor of Business Information Technology I did not like it, I felt like I was being forced. I found it hard and difficult, I failed my courses and even after my mum said she couldn’t afford to pay my school fees I still felt bad. My mind was programmed, I was supposed to finish University and get a degree, then get a job.”
The Lies That Bind actress hopes to go back to school and pursue a different course, “I thank God for dropping out of school because that would have been wasted years. I will go back to school to study things related to production, which is what I am doing now.”
