FRED OBACHI MACHOKA URGES YOUTHS TO SETTLE DOWN

Veteran radio personality Fred Obachi Machoka has urged the youths to settle down.

Taking to TikTok, Obachi said youths should get married when young, “I always tell people to marry or get married when it is time. If you have not gotten anyone it is understandable. But stop running around saying I don’t need a man, what can man give me? Or I don’t need a woman, they are problematic. Ujana ni moshi ukitoka haurudi tena. Listen to me things can get thick,” he said.

In September, 2023, Obachi marked his 70th birthday in style. His birthday was held at Fred’s Ranch in Isinya Kajiado county. The colourful event was graced by his family, friends and colleagues from the media. Congolese Rhumba sensation Mbilia Bell performed.

Machoka’s wife Sophie shared a sweet message to him, “Let me tell you, when I married you, I did not know the man I was marrying. I was marrying a stranger, the only difference is I loved him to bits, and he loved me back. You are so many things to me that I did not know at that time you became my husband.

You’re my pillar of strength, you’re my hope when all is falling apart, you’re the father of my children, the grandfather of my grandchildren, you’re my business partner, you’re my mentor. I just want to tell you, happy birthday, sweetheart. I love you and will always love you, and I’m so glad that I finally found my song in the shelter of your eyes. Thank you, enjoy yourself, love you.”
