‘NO WOMAN SHOULD BE SUBJECTED TO SUCH HUMILIATION’ EMMY KOSGEI CELEBRATES MWANGAZA’S WIN
A day after Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza survived an impeachment motion for the second time. Musician Emmy Kosgei took to social media to celebrate Mwangaza’s win.
In a post, she said it was painful watching the videos presented at the senate, “I followed the hearing and the final ruling to Hon governor @kawiramwangaza and yesterday was so painful for any woman to watch the videos presented. The chants, utterances, the cow, the sticks and enchantments I didn’t know when tears gushed out of my eyes. This is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunty … no matter our differences, no woman should be subjected to such attack and humiliation.”
Emmy went on celebrated the victory of Meru governor against the county’s ward representatives, “Thank you Senate for giving justice with moral conscience for speaking the heart of every woman! Thank you for honouring your wives, mothers and young daughters, for boldly without fear or contradiction voting dignity. Led by majority leader Aaron Cheruiyot, your opening remarks oozed wisdom! Alongside minority leader morality shouldn’t be drowned in search of justice.”
Kosgei also called for peace in Meru County, “God, faith, morality mentioned countless times in the senate spoke loud. There is hope for women leadership even in the generations to come! God bless Kenya, we pray for Meru people, may peace reign so you may enjoy and build your land shalom … #votingdignity #morality #coincience #honoringwomanhood #justice #womeninleadership #God.”
