PRESIDENT RUTO JOINS POLITICIANS AND CELEBRITIES IN MOURNING SINGER ALLY B

President William Ruto lead Kenyans in mourning coast-based singer Ali Khamisi Mwanguli popularly known as Ally B.

Known for his hit single Maria, Ally B passed away after short illness, “I join the music fraternity in mourning the passing of Ally B, a musician who harnessed his talent to foster unity and harmony in our society.  Ali Khamisi Mwanguli inscribed his message of peace deep within our hearts, and we will forever carry that meaningful tune. May God provide solace to his family, friends and devoted fans,” the president wrote on X.

Wendy Waeni: 7 years ago, 3 weeks before  President Obama visited Kenya, we were tasked to do a project to Welcome Obama to Kenya, i had the privilege of working with Ally B & several other music legends in Kenya like Suzanna Owiyo, DNA, Wahu, Size 8, Bahati. Since then, Ally B has been a very close friend, sad to learn that he is no more. R.I.P Ally B , True champ.

Daddy Owen: R.I.P Ally B.. real legend in the Kenya musical scene especially the representing the coastal region and fighting for the rights of the creatives from the region as well! My hearts go out to the family during this time of sorrow, deeply sorry for your profound loss.

Eugene Wamalwa: Deeply saddened by the untimely and sudden demise of my friend Ally B, a talented musical artist whose swahili songs greatly touched many Kenyans and beyond. We have lost a great talent, legend and personal friend whom we interacted alot. May his Soul RIP.

Musalia Mudavadi: Deeply saddened to hear about the untimely loss of  Ally B Khamisi. The Coastal region and indeed the country has lost a vibrant and talented musician whose passion and creativity touched the hearts of many. His contribution to elevating the Mijikenda culture through his  music is invaluable and will be remembered forever. I particularly loved his KADZO hit song and the message therein. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and fans during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace. .
