MARIA ACTOR ROBERT BUDI AND WIFE WENDY NJERI CHARGED WITH CHILD CRUELTY & TORTURE

Former Mr Kenya and Maria actor Robert ‘Khula’ Budi and his wife Wendy Njeri were charged with child cruelty & torture in a Kenyan court on December 4.

According to court documents, on October 29, 2022 and February 10, 2024, Budi and Wendy wilfully subjected their daughter aged 7 years to torture. Slapping her, pinching her on the hands, legs and thighs. Contrary to Section 25 of the Children Act number 29 of 2022.

The two denied the charges and were released on a Sh5000 cash bail each. The pair made headlines on Wednesday, November 29, following their arrest outside Milimani High Court by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives.
