SINGER HENRIE MUTUKU REFLECTS ON LOSING HER INHERITANCE
Legendary gospel musician Henrie Mutuku has opened up about losing the inheritance she received from her parents.
According to the Usichoke singer, her land was taken as part of Konza Technology City, “My parents left me inheritance inform of a piece of land they took from me and a number of people and it’s what they call Konza Technopolis now. They did give us some compensation to shut us up but my position is you don’t sell an inheritance. I’m still pleading with them to do what is right not to take my inheritance.”
Mutuku said she can’t afford to get the services of a lawyer, “I would ask them to reconsider, that is country land. Some people see a piece of land and think this can be ours not knowing that there are people who lived there and they value it for a different reason. So I’m still pleading with them to look into the situation. I can’t afford going the legal way.”
She also added, “My parents really worked hard to give us something to leave us with so I’m really asking them to consider.”
