ESMA PLATNUMZ TIES THE KNOT IN AN ELEGANT ISLAMIC CEREMONY

Diamond Platnumz’s younger sister, Esma Khan, exchanged vows on Thursday February 22 at an intimate Islamic ceremony. Esma is married to artist manager Jembe One.

The occasion was graced by Diamond Platnumz, Esma’s mother, Mama Dangote, as well as Esma’s children and close relatives. A week prior to the wedding, Jembe described Esma opening up about their relationship.

“At the beginning, I felt like our journey might be difficult because of the rumours we were hearing and the ones you were hearing. But we encouraged each other and maintained faith. It’s been a year now. I pray to Allah to continue blessing us with happiness, love, and to always fear Him. You are my woman and a half, I love you, and I will continue to love you, God willing, until death do us part .”

Esma was married as a third wife to Tanzanian businessman Yahya Msizwa but their marriage only lasted months. On January 2021, she confirmed earlier reports that she aborted her baby. The mother of two shared the news on her Instagram Live when one of her fans accused her of aborting her baby. Esma said she did not love her ex-husband Msizwa and having kids was not their arrangement, “Yes, I aborted because I will not have a baby with someone who I don’t feel anything for. If I had given birth, I would have hated the baby.

You are supposed to have a child with someone you love and want to be with for the rest of your life and when you look at the baby you just want to kiss it. Why bring an innocent child to the world only to hate it.”

Esma went on to confess their marriage was an arrangement and not for love, “I didn’t get married because of starting the world, it was because of fun, even all those months I stayed I tried a lot. We got married for a short period not to stay for years, it was for one week then we separated and lived our own lives that was the agreement.

It was not for love and I had no plans of having kids. I will have kids with the man I love. I didn’t get married for money because there was no money, I didn’t get any. I got married because of my own reasons, we agreed for a week, then broke up and he got his publicity and I went back to the man I love but now I am single and not ready to mingle.”
