BODYBUILDER JOSEPH OYATTA SEEKS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO REPRESENT KENYA IN BARBADOS

By  |

Joseph Oyatta Oduk, a rising star in the world of bodybuilding, is set to represent the country in the upcoming IFBB Roger Boyce Championship in Barbados.

Oyatta’s journey into bodybuilding began in 2015 when he competed at the MR/MS. Kenya Bodybuilding Championship while studying as a 3rd-year student at Moi University Eldoret. Initially, he hit the gym to improve his athleticism for basketball, but soon discovered a newfound passion for bodybuilding.

Despite facing setbacks, he remained determined and focused on his goals. After finishing 7th in his first competition, he continued to push himself and, two years later, emerged victorious as the Men’s Physique Mr. Kenya titleholder. His journey reached new heights in 2022 when he earned a pro card at the Arnold Classic Championship in South Africa, endorsed by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.

Now, Oduk is gearing up to represent Kenya and East Africa at the IFBB Roger Boyce Championship in Barbados this May. This prestigious event marks his debut in the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) Elite Pro League. A top 3 finish in this competition will secure Oyatta an invitation to compete at the World Championship (Arnold Sports Festival) in Spain in October

However, as a self-sponsored athlete, he faces significant financial challenges related to travel, accommodation, and competition fees. To support his journey and pave the way for other Kenyan athletes, Oduk has initiated a fundraiser through M-Changa https://www.mchanga.africa/fundraiser/94924 or Paybill no 891300, Account No 94924.

This journey has been a testament to hard work, perseverance, and the amazing support of my community,” says Oduk. “I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to represent Kenya on the international stage and to inspire others to pursue their dreams.”
