FAREED KHIMANI OPENS UP ABOUT DIVORCE AND LOSING HIS MOTHER

Popular radio personality Fareed Khimani, recently shared intimate details about his journey through addiction and loss. 

In a candid interview, Khimani revealed that his children, Yanik and Noah, have been a source of pure love and inspiration for him. Despite the challenges of navigating parenthood while battling addiction, Khimani expressed gratitude for the opportunity to rebuild his relationship with his ex-wife and co-parent their children, who reside in Switzerland with their mother.

“My kids have taught me what pure love is. Having them move when I was getting treatment from my addiction was difficult but rebuilding friendship with my ex-wife as a friend and travelling in and out of Switzerland and growing the relationship the best way I can. They have taught me the importance of a strong father figure. I didn’t have one growing up so being able to be that for my children is amazing,” said Fareed.  

The radio personality recounted fond memories of spending Sundays with his mother during her battle with cancer. “2 years ago I lost my mum, it has been tough because I was close to her. I spent every Sunday lunch with her when she got diagnosed with cancer. I got sober in 2018 and mum got sick in 2019. I was fortunate enough for mum to see me sober before she died. 

She had known me in my active addiction as an adult. I look at it with gratitude, she is gone but at least I got sober before she passed away. I was present and I helped her. I had a really good couple of years with her, unlike my dad who our relationship wasn’t great towards the end,” he added.
