LINUS KAIKAI’S EMOTIONAL GOODBYE TO VICTORIA RUBADIRI AS SHE EXITS CITIZEN TV

Linus Kaikai, the Editorial Director at Royal Media Services (RMS), has confirmed that journalist Victoria Rubadiri is leaving Citizen TV after six years with the station.

In a farewell message on his X account, Kaikai said the Sunday Live show, hosted by Rubadiri and Jeff Koinange was nicknamed American Edition due to the duo’s strong command of English language, “We nicknamed #SundayLive the ‘American Edition’ because this pair rolls Uncle Sam’s tongue just right! Sadly but proudly, @VickyRubadiri proceeds to her next duty station after 6 years with @citizentvkenya.”

He commended Victoria for her dedication as a journalist, “Vicky is an epic performer; a dutiful professional with whom we’ve worked across two media houses. Best wishes in your next assignment Vicky!”

Rubadiri joined Citizen TV in 2018 after leaving Nation Media Group’s NTV. In 2020 she won the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award.
