‘ANTI-AGEING NONSENSE’ NINI WACERA SPEAKS ON UNREALISTIC BEAUTY STANDARDS 

Renowned actress Nini Wacera has caused a stir online on the beauty industry’s obsession with anti-ageing products. 

In a candid statement, Wacera shared her personal journey with ageing and called for a shift towards embracing and supporting the natural ageing process. “When I was 10 years old, I looked into the mirror and saw a 10-year-old body. When I was 20 years old, I looked in the mirror and saw a 20-year-old body. Now I am 46 years old, I look in the mirror and see a 46-year-old body.”

Wacera highlighted the unrealistic standards and pressures imposed by the beauty industry, urging for a more inclusive and supportive approach to ageing. 

The actress’s call for pro-ageing products and the need for beauty and skincare brands to create products that celebrate and assist the ageing process, rather than stigmatise it. “So what the f*&k is this anti-ageing nonsense? I need a pro-ageing product, something that will support me as I age!” said Wacera.
