DR OFWENEKE CALLS ON RELIGIOUS LEADERS TO STAND WITH PASTOR KANYARI AMID PUBLIC CRITICISM

Popular comedian Dr. Ofweneke has broken his silence on the controversy surrounding Pastor Kanyari and called on religious leaders and the public to offer support rather than criticism. 

Ofweneke’s plea comes after widespread condemnation of Pastor Kanyari by various pastors and social media commentators. In a video, he said, “I have been holding myself from commenting on this for quite a while but I can’t hold anymore. I have been watching videos of Kanyari and I have heard a lot of pastors calling out Kanyari from their pulpits from different parts of the country and others on TikTok,” he said.

The TV host called on Kenyans to look beyond the surface and consider the possibility that Pastor Kanyari might be facing serious personal challenges. “Guys, there could actually be something serious that is happening and we are enjoying and not paying keen attention in it and this gentleman could actually not be okay. I don’t think we should continue pretending anymore.”

Adding, “He could actually be a volcano that has just erupted after a lot of pressure of life. I just want to talk to all the men of God, if this video gets to you, stop ignoring what is happening to him, chances are he is not okay.”

He further urged fellow religious leaders to reach out to him, “Please reach out to Pastor Kanyari, stop calling him out in the pulpit and reach out to him on a human level, stand with a fellow man and cover him.”
